Charlotte M. Crabtree, 89 of Maroa, IL passed away 11:40 pm December 17, 2024 at Manor Court, Clinton, IL.

Services will be 11 AM Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Calvert Funeral Home, Maroa, IL with Rev. Mary Alice Cunningham officiating. Burial will follow at Maroa Cemetery, Maroa, IL. Visitation will be 10 -11 AM Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to Macon Resources Inc., Decatur, IL.

Charlotte was born November 14, 1935 in Decatur, IL the daughter of Russell and Grace (Cooper) Braden. She married E. Edward Crabtree, Jr. April 18, 1970 in Maroa, IL. He passed away August 14, 2019.

Survivors include her children, Brent W. (Lisa) Parker, Florence, AZ; Renea Parker, Decatur, IL; Carrie Marley, Taylorville, IL; Jeff (Julie) Crabtree, Maroa, IL, 11 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Edward Crabtree, Jr., daughter, Deborah Parker, and son, James “Gregory” Parker.

Charlotte was a prolific artist, owning her own ceramic shop, the Three C’s in Decatur, IL. She had also worked at Wallace Business Forms in Clinton, and at Sattley’s in Decatur. Charlotte was caregiver to James Gregory and a homemaker for many years.  She loved spending time with her family and will be greatly missed.
