Sylvia Lofrano, 79 of Monticello, IL, passed away 6:25 PM December 12, 2024 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington, IL.

Private family graveside services will be at DeLand Cemetery, DeLand, IL with Msgr. Michael Bliss officiating. Public visitation for both Frank and Sylvia will be 4 – 7 PM Thursday, December 19, 2024 at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Knights of Columbus ceremony at 7 PM for Frank.

Sylvia was born July 4, 1945 in Monticello, IL the daughter of Byrl Lee and Roberta (Lubbers) Kidd. She married Frank J. Lofrano June 29, 1968 in Monticello, Il. He passed away December 7, 2024.

Survivors include her children, Audra (Mike) White, Monticello, IL; Tara Lofrano (Carey Cupp), Mansfield, IL; and Jared (Katie Madigan) Lofrano, Urbana, IL; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Robert B. Kidd, and sisters, Loretta Kidd and Cynthia Kidd.

Sylvia was a talented and dedicated nurse, starting her carrier at Decatur Memorial Hospital and retiring with Health Alliance in Champaign. She raised Basenji dogs and was an accomplished seamstress. She greatly enjoyed traveling with Frank and having family dinners but most of all she loved spending time with her family.
