James W. Clark

James William Clark, affectionately known as "Bill," passed away peacefully on December 11, 2024, in his home. Born on February 20, 1944, in Kenney, Illinois, Bill was a man whose life was marked by love, dedication, and resilience.

Bill married the love of his life, Catherine (Crang) Clark, on May 14, 1983. Together, they created a nurturing home filled with warmth and unwavering support. Bill was a devoted husband and a proud father to his children, Londa Dunlap, Deanna Spencer (deceased), Gage Irvin and his wife Shari Irvin, and Laura Earl, who is lovingly supported by her boyfriend Bob Karr. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren, Dylan Earl and Stevi Schenkel, who brought immense joy to his life and pride.

Preceded in death by his parents, Edmund and Garnett Clark. Also by his brothers, Donnie and Bobby, with whom he shared an unbreakable bond. His family was the cornerstone of his existence, and he was a steadfast protector and confidant to them all.

Bill's life was enriched by his deep connections with friends and his profound love for animals. He possessed a quiet strength and a gentle spirit that resonated with all who knew him. His friendships were built on mutual respect and understanding, often requiring no words to convey the depth of his feelings. Bill easily would step in to help friends or family without ever having to ask. He spent a lifetime working the family farms and perfecting his very own construction business when not farming.

Throughout his life, Bill exemplified the virtues of loyalty and compassion. His presence was a source of comfort and strength, and his memory will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing him. As we remember Bill, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with love, laughter, and an enduring legacy of kindness. We relish the fact that he is no longer in any pain.

The family will hold a celebration of life on 12/20/2024 at 11am. A meal will follow the service if you wish to attend. It will be held at the Kenney Community Center, 101 Johnston Street, in Kenney.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Kenney Fire Department & Kenney Heritage Association.
