Alice Gertrude Briggs, 91 of Argenta, IL passed away 1:41 PM November 17, 2024 at Hickory Point Christian Village, Forsyth, IL.

Services will be 10 AM Saturday, November 23, 2024 at the Cisco United Methodist Church, 201 North Eldon Street, Cisco, IL with Rev. Tabitha Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at Croninger Cemetery, Cisco, IL. Visitation will be 6 – 8 PM Friday, November 22, 204 at the Cisco United Methodist Church, Cisco, IL. The family entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Argenta, IL with arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to Cisco United Methodist Church. 

Alice was born June 23, 1933 in Argenta, IL the daughter of Delbert and Lola (Shaw) Massey. She married Roger E. Briggs October 9, 1952 in Argenta, IL. He passed away March 14, 2022.

Survivors include her children, Annette (John) Heller, East Peoria, IL; Randall (Katy) Briggs, Monticello, IL; Greg (Vicki) Briggs, Cisco, IL; and Scott (Tricia) Briggs, Atlanta, GA, 15 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and brother, Philip “Toby” (Violet) Massey, Clinton, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Eileen Williams, and brother, Leland Massey. 

Alice was Roger’s partner in farming. She was a member of the Craig Reed Auxiliary 1181 Cisco, IL, North Birthday Club, and the Cisco United Methodist Church.
