Marla Gayle Burton 69 of Clinton, Illinois passed away 6:51 A.M. November 9, 2024 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice, Peoria, Illinois.

Services will be 2 PM, Friday, November 15, 2024 at the Calvert Funeral Home,  Clinton, Il. with Adam Brucker officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Clinton, Il. Visitation will be 1-2 PM, Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to Second Chance Pet Adoption.

Marla was born August 3, 1955 in Clinton, IL the daughter of Aubrey and Betty L. “Punk” (Tolby) Burton.

Survivors include her daughter, Shelby Lou (Burton) Kinder, Clinton, IL; grandsons Jacob R. Kinder, Clinton, IL and Joshua M. Burton, Clinton, IL.

Marla was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Ross Burton on September 8, 2022.

Marla was baptized at First Christian Church, Clinton, IL.  She was a CNA at Crestview Nursing Home for several years.  Marla was an animal lover and raised and rescued many animals.  One of Marla’s favorite pastimes was going to the beach.
