Priscilla Irene Lamb, 94, of Clinton, IL passed away 10:38 AM Monday, September 23, 2024 at her daughter’s residence in Decatur, IL.
Services to celebrate both Michael Ervin Honecker and Irene Lamb will be 11 AM, Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Steve Ingram officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery, Clinton, IL for Michael and at Greenleaf Cemetery, Farmer City, IL for Irene. Visitation for Michael and Irene will be 10 – 11 AM, Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
Irene was born August 17, 1930 in Centralia, IL the daughter of Roy James and Susan (Farthing) Hardwick. She married Irvin Charles Honecker, Jr. August of 1946 in Salem, IL. He passed January 26, 1965. She later married Cecil Lamb January 19, 1995. He passed away September 12, 2009.
Survivors include her daughters, Patsy Glenn and Elaine (Jeff) Gibson, 14 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 15 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sons, Kenneth Raymond Honecker, Sr. and Michael Ervin Honecker, one grandson, four brothers, and five sisters.
Irene retired from the Clinton School District after serving as Head Cook for over 30 years. Irene was a member of the American Legion and VFW Auxiliary of Farmer City. She loved to play BINGO, but most of all, Irene loved spending time with her family.
