Kathleen Frick, a fierce-loving, warrior left us peacefully on September 22, 2024. Born on June 22, 1954, Kathleen lived a life filled with tremendous passion and selfless service to others.
Visitation will be 3-5 PM, Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL. Private graveside services will be held at Weldon Cemetery, Weldon, IL.
Kathleen dedicated her life to being an advocate for children. She worked hard as a Brownie and Girl Scout Troop leader, was a classroom mother to many, and a bonus mom to any child in need of extra loving care. She was a Founding Director of the Write Stuff for Kids, Inc. and she worked hard to receive grants for the Clinton Community School District to implement a computerized lunch program to protect childhood innocence.
Preceding her in death was her mother (Donna), her father (Bill “Silo”), and her sister (Penny). Surviving her in death is her husband, Kenneth, and children (Tami & Greg Apple plus family, Amber & Robert Young plus family, Michael and LeeAnn Frick plus family).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to your favorite charity or non-profit group. One of Kathleen’s favorite non-profits was Ruby Rescue and Retreat, NFP – McLean, IL if you are looking for a recommendation. |
