William Eugene Lowery, 81, of Oviedo, FL passed away at 7:12 PM on September 14, 2024 at The Villages Regional Hospital of The Villages, FL.

Services will be 11 A.M. Saturday, September 28, 2024 at Maranatha Church, Decatur, IL with Pastor Doug Lowery officiating.  Burial will follow at Weldon Cemetery, Weldon, IL. With Military Honors.  Visitation will be 6 – 9 PM Friday, September 27, 2024 at Maranatha Church, Decatur, IL and 1 hour before the services on Saturday at the church. The family has entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, Il. with arrangements.

 “Bill” was born December 10, 1942, in Bloomington, IL., the son of Eugene and Evelyn (Baker) Lowery. He married Gaye Crockett in 2001 in Tucson, AZ.

Survivors include his wife, Gaye Lowery, Oviedo, FL; daughter, Heidi (Carey) Haynes, Abilene, TX; Ace (Michelle) Lowery, El Paso, TX; Luke Lowery, El Paso, TX. Stepdaughters Hannah Bryant and Bethany Bryant of Tucson, AZ. Grandchildren: Chase Haynes, Brody (Ana) Haynes, Addison Lowery, Ryder Lowery, Hattan Lowery, Everson Lowery, Olivia Tarazon. Great grandchildren Oliver Haynes and Maeve Haynes.

He is also survived by his brother Douglas (Rosemary) Lowery, of Decatur IL; sister Jeanene (Phillip) Edrington of Decatur, IL. Uncle Bill was very proud of his many nieces and nephews.

William was preceded in death by his parents Walter Eugene Lowery and Evelyn (Baker) Lowery of Weldon, IL. His son William Todd Lowery, his brother Dennis (Gloria) Lowery, his sister Carolyn (Donald) Sennhenn, his niece Alicia Lynn Sennhenn, and nephew Darren Eugene Dragoo.
