Barbara J. Johnson 87 of Kenney, IL passed away 2:43 P.M. September 15, 2024 at Copper Creek Cottages, Lincoln, IL.

Private Graveside Services will be Friday, September 20, 2024 at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Kenney, IL. Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL is in charge of arrangements.  The family requests casual attire.

Memorials may be directed to Kloe’s Giving Heart or DeWitt County Animal Shelter.

Barbara was born January 19, 1937 in Latham, IL the daughter of Orville and Pauline (Centers) Cutright. She married Richard S. “Dick” Johnson March 17, 1954 in Bloomington, IL.

Survivors include her husband, Richard S. “Dick” Johnson, Kenney, IL; children, David Johnson, Wiggins, MS; Alice McCutcheon, Decatur, IL; Janiece DuPree, DeWitt, IL; and Melissa (Jeff) Jackson, Decatur, IL; one grandson, Justin Volker, Clinton, IL; siblings: Sharon Greenslate, Kenney, IL; Paula (Randy) Kelly, Kenney, IL; and Orville Cutright, Kenney, IL.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and four sisters.

Barbara was a past 4-H leader, Angel Tree volunteer and a member of the Salt Creek Quilt Guild, Illinois Master Quilters, Kenney Heritage Association and Kenney Khoury League.  Barbara worked at UPS before her retirement.
