Curtis C. Vinson 64 of Pontiac, Illinois passed away 8:57 PM August 5, 2024 at OSF St. James Hospital, Pontiac, Illinois.

Services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 9, 2024 at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, Il. with Ernie Harvey, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Kenney, Il.. Visitation will be 10 – 11 A.M. Friday, August 9, 2024 at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to the Curtis C. Vinson Memorial Fund.

Curtis was born November 10, 1959 in Clinton, Il. the son of Walter “Pete” and Norma June (Leevey) Vinson.

Survivors include his Daughter, Breanna McGee, Decatur, Il.; Siblings, Brad Leevey, Clinton, Il.; Mark Vinson, Clinton, Il.; Roger (Kathy) Vinson, Clinton, Il.; Terry Vinson, Clinton, Il.

Longtime companion, Susan Shiflett, Chenoa, Il. and her daughter, Cynthia Shiflett, Chenoa, Il.

Curtis was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Rodney Vinson and sister, Patricia Vinson.

Curtis was a meat cutter and a great cook. He enjoyed junking, fishing and was an animal lover.  Most of all he loved spending time with his family.
