Harold Woodrow Nisinger, Jr., 83, of Clinton, IL passed away 6:25 PM, August 4, 2024 at Manor Court, Clinton, IL.
Private family services with Military Honors will be held at Lisenby Cemetery, Lane, IL with Rory Isaac officiating. The family entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with cremation rites.

Harold was born May 22, 1941 in Alton, IL the son of Harold Woodrow and Dorothy Lucille (Miller) Nisinger, Sr. He married Sue (Isaac) Hoffman, the love of his life, April 28, 1989 in Lane, IL, just celebrating 35 years together.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Nisinger, Clinton, IL; children, Angela (Larry) Oleson, Decatur, IL, and Lee-Anne Atterberry, Cantrall, IL; daughter-in-law, Cindy Nisinger, Taylorville; step-children, Teresa (Wayne) Potrafka, Maroa, IL, Dean (Sheri) Hoffman, Bradenton, FL, Yvonne (Brian) Dial, Clinton, IL, and Cindy Eads, Morton, IL. Together they were blessed to share 17 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, JoEdythe Yindrack; and his son, Brian.
After graduating in 1960 from Dwight D. Eisenhower High School, Decatur, IL, he joined the United States Air Force as an airplane mechanic where he served until 1963. Harold worked a variety of jobs in his lifetime: Wagner Casting, Central Soya, and Clinton Marina before retiring from Baum Chevrolet. His passions were the Chicago Cubs, fishing, and taking rides with Sue and Harley – his loyal long-haired Chihuahua. Harold was a member of the Lane Christian Church.
Harold was the life of the party wherever he went and knew no strangers. Harold’s family would like to extend a thank you for a show of love and support during these past several months.
