Robert D. “Bob” Keelin 82, of Clinton, IL passed away 10:40 A.M. July 12, 2024 at his family residence, Clinton, IL.

 

Visitation will be 4 – 6 PM Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL. Graveside services will be 10 AM Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Highland Cemetery, Ottawa, KS with military honors.

 

Memorials may be directed to American Legion.

 

Bob was born July 31, 1941 in Ottawa, KS the son of Kenneth L. and Velma M. (Milton) Keelin. He married Connie Rabbe March 14, 1967.

 

Survivors include his children, Brenda Keelin, Clinton, IL and Matthew (Cecelia) Keelin, Denver, CO; grandchildren, Grant Keelin, Denver, CO and Riley Keelin, Clinton, IL, along with his sister, Mariam Lacomb, OK.

 

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, William Keelin and Marie Fredricks, and very special companion, Betty J. Spaugh.

 

Bob graduated from the University of Kanas Class of 1963. He served in the U.S. Army from 1963 – 1965. After working for RCA and Burroughs in Chicago, he became the owner of Bob’s Oil in Clinton. He enjoyed golfing but especially enjoyed his grandchildren.
