Milton Francis Tarbox, 83, of Clinton, died 8:39 p.m. Sunday, July 14, 2024, at St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington, surrounded by his family.
Private family graveside services will be at Oak Park Cemetery, Clinton, IL. The family entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with arrangements.
Milton was born in Clinton to Milton and Frances (Gash) on June 12, 1941. Milton attended Clinton High School, going on to work at Revere Copper and Brass, Inc., and Cyrulik Concrete. He retired from Clinton Community School District; beloved by many as their bus driver. Milton was a member of the Clinton United Methodist Church in Clinton. He married Carol Ann Fitchhorn on July 13, 1968; she passed August 30, 2014.
Surviving are his sons: John (Ava) and Mark (Jennifer), both of Clinton; sister, Sally (Tony) Brieler, Lane; brother-in-law, Ron (Yvonne) Fitchhorn, McLean; grandchildren: Felicia (Jeremy Barnes) Normal, Jessica Mandrell (Mark), Levi Tarbox, Beth Tarbox and Mylee Queen (Trentyn), all of Clinton; great-grandchildren: Mikah, Nick, Anastasia, Zach, Axle and Dahlia; companion, Faye Bahn of Chestnut
He was proceeded in death by his parents, his wife and sons, Randy Tarbox and Greg Tarbox.
