Elmer Eugene “Gene” Watson, 63, of Clinton, IL passed away 3:49 PM, July 5, 2024 at his family residence, Clinton, IL.

A private celebration of life will be at a later date. The family entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with cremation rites.

Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.

Gene was born August 13, 1960 in Valparaiso, IN the son of David and Francine (Peplow) Watson.  He married Laurie Davidson May 21, 2011 in Lane, IL. 

Survivors include his wife, Laurie Watson of Clinton, IL, son, Michael Watson of Florida, daughter, Skylar Watson of Clinton, IL. Also surviving are two brothers and two sisters. 

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Gene enjoyed fishing, camping, and hunting. He loved horses, especially Geronimo. The most important thing to Gene was spending time with his family.
