David N. Braden, 82 of Maroa, IL passed away 11:04 AM May 18, 2024 at his home in Maroa, IL.

Private Graveside services will be Friday, May 24, 2024 at Texas Township Cemetery, Clinton, IL with Scott Marsh officiating. The family entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Maroa-Forsyth FFA.

David was born November 29, 1941 in Clinton, IL the son of Craig K. and Margaret (Sutherland) Braden. He married Sherry L. Williams September 22, 1963 in Clinton, IL.  He later married Elizabeth Ann Piatt August 16, 2013.

Survivors include his wife Elizabeth Ann Braden, Maroa, IL; sons, Chris (Marcy)Braden, Clinton, IL and Chad (Lisa) Braden, Charleston, IL; four grandchildren:  Emily, Nicholas, Grace, and Genavieve Braden.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

David was an Electrician for the Illinois Central Railroad, farmed full time, and drove grain trucks.  David was a past member of the Maroa-Forsyth School Board.  He enjoyed attending and participating in Tractor Pulls.  Most of all, David loved spending time with his family.
