Harry Harding Hawkins, 75, of Clinton, IL passed away 3:00 PM, April 27, 2024 at his family residence, Clinton, IL.

A Celebration of Harry’s Life will be 11 AM, Casual Friday, May 3, 2024 at the Journey Church, Clinton, IL with Pastor Nick Blacklidge officiating.  Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL assisted the family with cremation rites.

In lieu of flowers because of family allergies, memorials may be directed to Journey Church.

Harry was born May 27, 1948 in San Francisco, CA the son of Jerold and Katherine (Stuart) Hawkins. He married Karen Kay Altes April 13, 1979 in Clinton, IL.  She passed away April 16, 2019.

Survivors include his children, Tisha (Brian) Griffin, Clinton, IL and Robert H. (Amber) Hawkins, Peoria, IL; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.

Harry was a member of Journey Church, Clinton, IL.  Harry was a Union Carpenter.  He moved to Illinois from California to help build the Clinton Nuclear Power Station.  After his retirement, Harry worked at various power plants on the East Coast helping with their power outages.  His hobbies included volunteering his skills at his church and golfing.  Harry was a devoted family man who worshiped his wife and loved spending time with his kids and grandkids.
