Marilyn Jean Beck, 77, of Maroa, IL passed away 8:39 PM January 27, 2024 at her family residence, Maroa, IL.

Services will be 11 AM, Thursday, February 1, 2024 at the Calvert Funeral Home, Maroa, IL with Scott Marsh officiating. Burial will follow at Maroa Cemetery, Maroa, IL. Visitation will be 10 -11 AM, Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Marilyn was born August 12, 1946 in Streator, IL the daughter of Herbert J. and LaVonna Jean “Bonnie” (Smith) Alexander. She married Phillip E. Beck July 29, 1966 in Maroa, IL.

Survivors include her husband, Phillip E. Beck, Maroa, IL; children, Todd A. Beck, Maroa, IL and Megan A. (Christopher) Schlag, Maroa, IL; three grandchildren, Trinity Beck, Ethan Beck, and Hayden Schlag; siblings:  Patricia (David) Bartlett, Wallisville, TX, Rosemary (Terry) Barthelemy, Salina, KS, Gary Scott (Debbie) Alexander, St. Louis, MO, Laura (Vince) Wright, Foley, AL, David (Debra) Alexander, Maroa, IL; and sister-in-law, Carlone Alexander, Clinton, IL.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Dale Alexander.

Marilyn was a member of the Maroa Bible Church where she loved teaching Sunday School.
