Richard “Dick” Wayne Wagers 77 of Clinton, IL passed away 12:35 PM January 15, 2024 at Manor Court, Clinton, IL.

 

Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Woodlawn Cemetery, Clinton, IL with Ernie Harvey Jr. officiating and Military Honors. The family has entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with arrangements.

Dick was born October 3, 1946 in Clinton, IL the son of Russell and Dorothy (Vermillion) Wagers.

 

Survivors include his Longtime Companion, Linda Schmid, Clinton, IL, son, Rustin (Whitney) Wagers, Clinton, IL, grandson, Rylan Wagers, Clinton, IL, granddaughter, Madison Cole, Clinton, IL, sister, Christine Alnadi, Venice, FL, half-brother, Robert Keith Wagers, Decatur, IL, along with several nieces and nephews.

 

Dick was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Delores Wagers.

 

Dick served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a Life Member of the Disabled American Veterans, Military Order Of the Purple Heart, the Clinton V.F.W. and member of the Battle Cross Crusaders.  He retired from the Clinton Post Office as a mail carrier after serving 31 years.
