Joseph Larry Head, 79, of Maroa, IL passed away 5:28 PM December 31, 2023 at family’s residence in Skokie, IL.

 

Services will be 11 A.M. Friday, January 5, 2024 at Calvert Funeral Home, Maroa, IL with Rev. Dave Angle officiating. Burial will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Wapella, IL. Rosary services will be 4:30 PM Thursday, January 4, 2024 with Fr. Thomas Szydlik, followed by visitation from 5 – 7 PM at Calvert Funeral Home, Maroa, IL.

 

Memorials may be directed to the Maroa Parks Dept.

 

Joseph was born April 15, 1944 in Bloomington, IL the son of Joseph F. and Faye (Rickard) Head. He married Sharon L. Medler September 23, 1962 in Bloomington, IL. She passed away December 14, 2008.

 

Survivors include his three daughters, Karen (Dave) Angle, Cary, IL; Janice (Larry) Burke, Colorado Springs, CO; Andrea Farley, Skokie, IL; grandchildren, Kate, John, Christina, Hannah, Rebekah, Aidan, Mirren, Cavan, and Dylan, siblings, Linda (Mike) Rainey, Monticello, IL and Jerry (Linda) Head, Bloomington, IL.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents.

 

Joseph had worked for Caterpillar for over 35 years. He was an avid trapshooter, golfer and fisherman.
