Delores June Owens, 92 of Clinton, Illinois passed away 4:15 PM December 31, 2023 at the Litchfield Health and Rehab, Litchfield, IL.

Services will be 11 AM, Saturday, January 6, 2024 at the First Baptist Church, Clinton, IL with Pastor Jonathan Roberson officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Clinton, IL. Visitation will be 10-11 AM, Saturday at the First Baptist Church, Clinton, IL. The family has entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with arrangements.

June was born November 11, 1931 in Whitmore Twp., Macon County, IL. the daughter of James and Winnie Grace (Stine) Arthur. She married Joel Clifton Edwards II in 1949. He passed away in 1956. She later married Donald E. “Don” Owens June 12, 1993 in Waynesville, IL. He passed away January 20, 2014.

Survivors include her children, Jean Meyer, Hillsboro, IL; JoAnne Fort, Arcadia, FL; and Pauline Marie Gaultney, Kewadin, MI; 6 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

June was preceded in death by her parents; son, Joel C. Edwards; daughter, Judith Ann Holt; sons-in-law, Kent Holt, Bill Meyer, and Johnny Gaultney; 4 sisters, 3 half-brothers and 2 half-sisters.

June was a member of the First Baptist Church, Clinton, IL. She loved to sew and cook and everybody wanted to eat her apple pies.
