Betty Ann Johnson, 90, of Le Roy, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2023, surrounded by family.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 29, 2023, from 1:00 P.M. - 2:00 P.M. at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Le Roy, Illinois. Her funeral service will follow at 2:00 P.M. also at the funeral home with Josh Gorrie officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Le Roy, Illinois.  Memorial donations may be made to the American Legion Ruel Neal Post 79, Le Roy, or the Wapella Christian Church.

Betty was born April 27, 1933, in Farmer City, Illinois, a daughter of Morton and Goldie (Bateson) Riggs. She married Robert “R.D.” Johnson on June 15, 1974, in Le Roy, Illinois. He passed away February 22, 2022.

She is survived by her daughters, Donna (Vic) Riddle of Wapella, Illinois, and Melinda (Jeff) Davis of Punta Gorda, Florida; son, David (Tina) Garland of Grand Rapids, Michigan; twelve grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her two sisters, Helen and Shirley; four brothers, Chuck, Morton Jr., Vernell, and Bob; and infant son, Donald.

Betty retired after 30 years at Revere Copper and Brass in Clinton, Illinois. She loved Diet Coke, reading and crafting.

Betty was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and devoted friend who will be deeply missed.
