Calvin V. Mazander 76 of Maroa, IL passed away 12:35 A.M. August 24, 2023 at Holy Family Hospital, Greenville, IL.

Services will be 12 noon, Sunday, August 27, 2023 at the Calvert Funeral Home, Maroa, IL with his son-in-law, Bill Martin officiating and Military Honors following the service. Visitation will be 11AM – 12 noon, Sunday at the Calvert Funeral Home, Maroa, IL.

Memorials may be directed to the Clinton Military Honor Guard.

Calvin was born August 7, 1947 in Belleville, IL the son of Clarence and Loretta (Grob) Mazander. He married Pamela Riggs December 7, 1982 in Decatur, IL. She passed away June 2, 2019.

Survivors include his children, Annette (Bill) Martin, Herrick, IL; Stacey (Dean) Soule, Maroa, IL; Kimberly Mazander, Arrowsmith, IL; Sheri (Jason) Hardman, Gridley, IL; Kenneth Gregory, Maroa, IL; and William (Amanda) Mazander, Maroa, IL; 23 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Wayne Mazander, Maroa, IL.

Calvin was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, Rodney Griffin, and brother, Butch Mazander.

Calvin served in the Army during the Vietnam Conflict from 1967 – 1969. He was a pipefitter out of Local #65, Decatur, IL for over 45 years.  Calvin was very hardworking and an entrepreneur.  He enjoyed watching wrestling and going on road trips.  Most of all, Calvin loved spending time on his farm with his family.  He never met a stranger.
