Rev. George William Brady, Jr.

George Wm Brady entered the presence of his Savior at Farmer City Rehab and Healthcare Center on August 17, 2023. He was born in Chicago on June 1, 1928 to George Wm Brady Sr. and Mary Willie McCullom. He married Jean Royce on June 22, 1957 in Hillsburgh, Ontario Canada.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Timothy Colin, and sisters Shirley Caruso and Alice Davidson. He is survived by his wife, Jean, sons John Kevin (Tina) of Virginia, Mark Lance (Joan) of Texas, and daughter Kathy (Todd) Falkenstein of Colorado. Also surviving are grandchildren Karen, Timothy, Patrick, and Seth Brady, Andrew and Bradley Falkenstein and Sarah (William) Ash as well as great-grandsons Theodore and James. Also surviving are his brother Charles, sisters Virginia Domenic, Margaret Schoen, and brother-in-law Robert Davidson. 

 

He was a graduate of Moody Bible Institute, Elmhurst College, and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He was a printer by trade. He pastored two churches, the Japanese Church of Jesus Christ in Chicago and Bethel Church of rural Farmer City. He also taught at Durban Bible College, South Africa for four years. He was a member of the DeLand Christian Church.

 

Services will be at the DeLand Christian Church on Tuesday, August 22, Visitation at 10 a.m. and service 11 a.m. Pastor David Ashby presiding. Memorials may be made to Deland Christian Church or to Missionary Aviation Fellowship. The family entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Deland, IL with arrangements.
