Betty Ann “B.A.” Nelson, 82, of Clinton, IL, passed away 4:20 AM July 2, 2023 at the Vonderlieth Living Center, Mt Pulaski, IL.

Services will be 11 AM Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Pastor Darrell Howard officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Kenney, IL. Visitation will be 10 – 11 AM Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to the Clinton United Methodist Church.

B.A. was born June 22, 1941 in Georgetown, IL the daughter of Oscar James “Bud” and Betty L. (Lancaster) Fortune. She married Harold Wayne Nelson March 16, 1986 in Clinton, IL. He passed away September 2, 1996.

Survivors include her children: Edwin Elmo Robb, Jr., Sacramento, CA; Edwina King, Yuma, AZ; and Rhea Enola Marie McKinney, Mesa AZ; three grandchildren, Joshua King, Bryonna McKinney, and Travis McKinney; siblings, Patsy Groves, Clinton, IL, Suzie Reddington, St. Louis, MO, Rene’e (Mike) Bess, Clinton, IL, Jim Fortune, Kenney, IL, and Butch (Stacie) Fortune, Kenney, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

B.A. served on the John Warner Hospital Foundation Board and also the DeWitt County Museum Board. She enjoyed spending time in the mornings with her coffee group.
