Robert ?Bob” Maxwell, 71, of Farmer City, Illinois, passed away Friday, May 5, 2023, at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington, Illinois.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023, from 12 noon – 6 p.m. with a rain date of June 11th at Jason Maxwell’s house, 9469 Liberty Road, Farmer City, Illinois. Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home of Farmer City, Illinois, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Bob was born on June 19, 1951, in Charleston, Illinois, a son of Wayne E. and Betty J. (Johnson) Maxwell. He married Sandie L. Mahin on July 8, 1972, in Mahomet, Illinois.
He is survived by his wife, Sandie L. Maxwell of Farmer City, Illinois; three children, Darcy (Billy) Douthitt of Le Roy, Illinois, Jason (Megan) Maxwell of Farmer City, Illinois, and Bobbi (Eric) Rowe of Farmer City, Illinois; seven grandchildren, Megan Douthitt; Kendra Douthitt; Sawyer Maxwell; Cam Maxwell; Reid Maxwell; Kinnley Rowe; and Jackson Rowe; nine siblings, Gary (Sheila) Maxwell; Nancy (Rick) Mansfield; Rebecca Seawell; Marlene Hedrick; Christine Welch; Chuck (Colleen) Maxwell; Morris (Cheryl) Maxwell; Sara Short; and Margaret (John) Cooke; and eighteen nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne E. and Betty J. Maxwell.
Bob worked as a professional in the autobody repair industry. He enjoyed music and classic cars, but most of all, enjoyed spending time with his family.
Bob loved his family dearly. He was a loving husband; father; grandfather; brother; uncle; and friend who will be greatly missed by all who shared in his life.
