Billy Dean Grider 60 of Argenta, IL passed away 9:52 PM May 5, 2023 at his family residence, Argenta, IL. 

Services will be 12:00 PM Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at the Bridge Church Fellowship, Argenta, IL with Pastor Ken Dees officiating. Burial will follow at Friends Creek Cemetery, Argenta, IL. Visitation will be 10 AM – 12 PM Wednesday at the Bridge Church Fellowship, Argenta, IL; The family has entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Argenta, IL with arrangements.

Billy was born May 6, 1962 in Decatur, IL the son of Norman R. and Linda M. (Pope) Grider. He married Gina L. Wilber January 19, 1985 in Decatur, IL.

Survivors include his wife, Gina L. Grider, Argenta, IL, children, Rachel (Jamale) Rice, Oreana, IL; David (Kayli) Grider, Sullivan, IL; Amya Grider, Argenta, IL, grandchildren, Kierra, Faith, Justice, Zephyr, siblings, Terry L. (Debbie) Grider, Oreana, IL; Teresa (Jeff Nelson) Prosser, DeWitt, IL; Betty (Jim) Lane, Oreana, IL, and his special friend and companion, Scooby. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, and father-in-law, Roy Ousley.

Billy was an avid sports fan always supporting his favorite teams, the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Black Hawks, Chicago Bears, and Milwaukee Bucks. He also loved playing softball.
