Andrew C. Short, 35, of Heyworth, IL passed away 5:20 PM March 14, 2023 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington, IL.

Services will be held 12:00 PM Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Scott Marsh officiating. Burial will follow at Long Point Cemetery, Wapella, IL Visitation will be 10:00 AM- 12:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to the Andrew Short Memorial Fund.

Andrew was born August 14, 1987 in Normal, IL the son of Kent L. and Karen K. (Mearida) Short.

Survivors include his father, Kent L. (Julie Klein) Short, Heyworth, IL; children: Brady Lee Short, Clinton, IL and Cameron Lane, Decatur, IL; sister, Alicia Short, Heyworth, IL; step brothers, John Flowers, Seneca, IL, Tyler Flowers, Iowa, Anthony Klein, Heyworth, IL, Brenden Klein, Heyworth, IL; maternal grandmother, Mary Kay Mearida, Heyworth, IL; paternal grandfather, Jim Short, Aurora, IL; and paternal grandmother, Linda Short, Clinton, IL.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Karen K. Short, maternal grandfather, James L Mearida, and uncle Jody L. Mearida.

Andrew enjoyed farming, tending cattle, hunting, fishing, playing pool and darts; but most of all, Andrew loved to spend time with his children.
