David Lynn Brennan 78 of Clinton, Illinois passed away 8:03 PM January 15, 2023 at Hickory Point Christian Village, Forsyth, IL.

Services will be 11 AM, Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Pastor Mark Cooper officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery, Clinton, IL. Visitation will be 10-11 AM, Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to the Parkinson’s Foundation.

David was born August 10, 1944 in Monticello, IL the son of Kenneth Gail and Winona (Hayes) Brennan. He married Carol Ann Wilkerson June 5, 1964 in Lane, IL.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Ann Brennan, Clinton, IL; children, Tony Lynn (Susie Welch) Brennan, Clinton, IL; and Kelly David (Willi) Brennan, Clinton, IL; 5 grandchildren: Brooke (Jason)Smith, Nikki (Curran), Christopher, Bryson, & Ty; 4 great-grandchildren; siblings, Gary Brennan, Decatur, IL; and Mike Brennan, Springfield, IL; and brother-in-law, Ted (Peggy Newman) Wilkerson, Clinton, IL.

David was preceded in death by his parents.

David had been a Courier for the Clinton School District. He was a past member of the Clinton Eagle’s Lodge and a lifetime member of the American Motorcycle Association as well as a founding member of the DeWitt Co. Motorcycle Club.  David enjoyed motorcycle riding and camping and watching the Chicago Bears and the Illini.  Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
