Charles Oliver Wilkerson, 91, of Maroa, IL passed away at 4:55 PM January 2, 2023 at Springfield Memorial Hospital, Springfield, IL.

Per Charles’ wishes, no services are planned at this time. The family entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Maroa, IL with arrangements.

Charles was born August 11, 1931 in Mound City, IL the son of Charles G. and Gladys (Felker) Wilkerson.

Survivors include his children: Carol (Dave) Brumfield, Norfolk, VA; Matthew (Darla) Wilkerson, Decatur, IL; and Mark Wilkerson, Silverdale, WA; sister,  Clara (Ron) Waite, Decatur, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Don Wilkerson, Gene Wilkerson, and Jim Wilkerson, sister Mary Massey, one infant sister, Irene Wilkerson, and daughter-in-law, Violet Wilkerson.

Charles served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
