Jesse Lyle Hammer 70 of Clinton, IL passed away 11:28 PM November 26, 2022 at Arcadia Care, Bloomington, IL.

Visitation will be 2 – 3 PM Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL. Graveside services will follow 3 PM Thursday at Memorial Park Cemetery, Clinton, IL with Ernie Harvey, Jr. officiating.

Memorials may be directed to American Diabetes Foundation.

Jesse was born September 4, 1952 in Clinton, IL the son of Lyle and Hazel Louise (Booker) Hammer.

Survivors include his sons, Don (Bonnie) Hammer, Clinton, IL and Doug (Kristen) Hammer, LeRoy, IL; life partner and fiancée, Karen Thompson, Fort Myers, FL; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; siblings, Terry (Cori) Hammer, Clinton, IL, Ronnie (Irene) Hammer, Davis Junction, IL, and Will (April) Hammer, Washington, IL; and five stepsiblings Penny, Jackie, Kenny, Kelly, and Julie.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Jesse was a millwright most of his life and loved fishing.
