Debra Elaine Bateson, 61 of Clinton, IL passed away 7:00 PM November 18, 2022 at her home in Clinton, IL surrounded by her family.

 

Funeral services will be 11 AM Monday, November 28, 2022 at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Ernie Harvey, Jr. officiating. Visitation will be 10 – 11 AM Monday at the funeral home.

 

Memorials may be directed to Debra Elaine Bateson Memorial Fund.

 

Debbie was born December 17, 1960 in Streator, IL the daughter of Francis and Janice (Gochanour) Harlacher. She married Charles R. Bateson, March 27, 1982 in Streator, IL. He passed away October 26, 2010. Debbie was a graduate of Streator High School and attended the Illinois Valley Community College, receiving her CNA certification.

 

Survivors include her children, Emily (Preston Dash) Pruitt, Clinton, IL and Charles J. (Shelbi) Bateson, Wapella, IL; grandchildren, Joseph (Deann) Strange, Kaitlin Pruitt, Savannah Miller, Carter, Cash, and Colyton Tanner; siblings, Marlene (Bob) Horton, Streator, IL, Peggy (Don) Kleppin, Rutland, IL, Brenda (Jim) Lewis, Streator, IL, Cheryl (Greg) Drysdale, Streator, IL, and Terry Harlacher, Streator, IL.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Joseph; brother, Gary; sister, Kathy; and brother-in-law, Tim.

 

Debbie belonged to the First Christian Church in Clinton. She enjoyed her Ladies’ Sunday School Class and volunteering in the church when she was able. She also enjoyed making crafts and participating in the Farmers Market.
