Dorothy I. Wheeler, 92 of Argenta, IL passed away 10:55 PM May 30, 2022 at her family home in Argenta, IL with her family by her side.

 

Graveside services will be 11 AM, Friday, June 3, 2022 at Friends Creek Cemetery, Argenta, IL with Pastor David Brown officiating. The family entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Argenta, IL with arrangements.

 

Memorials may be directed to Traditions Hospice.

 

Dorothy was born December 9, 1929 in Forsyth, IL the daughter of Melvin and Bonnie (Pope) Hiser. She married Paul E. Wheeler October 4, 1972 in Argenta, IL.  He passed away April 27, 2021.

 

Survivors include her children, Barb (Tony) Middleton, Argenta, IL; Sue (Rick) Kemp, Clinton, IL; Diane Roberts, Buffalo, IL; and Lynn (Sherry) Kaufman, Oreana, IL; 7 grandchildren:  Christy Nien, Argenta, IL; Tina Middleton, Argenta, IL; Paul Middleton, Argenta, IL; Mark Kaufman, Cisco, IL; Courtney Simpson, Mt. Zion, IL; Colleen Force, Argenta, IL; and Abraham Kaufman, Phoeniz, AZ;  15 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.

 

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters.

 

Dorothy was retired from Revere Copper and Brass and enjoyed camping and traveling.  She was strong and sassy, but a very loving woman.  Our mom loved her family and friends.
