Mary Colleen (Terpening) Stephens, 93, of Scottsdale, Arizona, and a native and long-time resident of Clinton, Illinois, died at 6:06 AM on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Gardiner Home, Phoenix, Arizona.

She was born July 18,1928 in Clinton, a daughter of Charles E. and Nora (Barry) Terpening. She married Marion Lee Wagner on May 29, 1949. They were divorced August 29, 1980. She is survived by her three daughters: Shae (Dr. William) Dixon of Scottsdale, AZ; Terry Wagner of Wilmington, NC; and Paige Wagner of Lake Wales, FL. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Dr. Ashleigh Dixon of Scottsdale, AZ; Dr. Alexis Dixon of Marina del Rey, CA; Neal Dixon of Phoenix, AZ; David (Megan) Dixon of Portland, OR; Elijah Logue of Clinton, IL and Sage (Zach) Lash of DeWitt, IL; and 3 great-grandchildren.

Colleen married Elmer Eugene Stephens on August 29, 1981, in Clinton, IL. He died September 19, 2009. She was a member of First Christian Church in Clinton where she was active in choir, Sunday School, and Teachers’ Training.

A Memorial Service will be at 11:00 AM on June 4, 2022 in the FamilyLife Center at the First Christian Church in Clinton with Pastor Ernie Harvey officiating.
