James M. Obermeyer 74 of Clinton, IL passed away 5:13 A.M. January 3, 2022 at his family residence, Clinton, IL.

 

Graveside services will be 10 AM May 7, 2022 at Memorial Park Cemetery, Clinton, IL with Ernie Harvey, Jr. officiating. The family entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with arrangements.

 

Memorials may be directed Second Chance Pet Adoptions.

 

Jim was born February 5, 1947 in Clinton, IL the son of Edmund and Carol (Dufner) Obermeyer. He married former Linda Wolfe of Clinton, IL in 1968 and later married Wanda Churchill of LeRoy, MI. She passed away 2015.

 

Survivors include his two sons, Brett (Debbie) Obermeyer, Clinton, IL; Brant (Jamie) Obermeyer, Clinton, IL, grandchildren, Alexis Obermeyer, Knoxville, TN; Amber, Sam, Sean Obermeyer, Bloomington, IL; and Amber, Lily, Mia, and Eden Obermeyer, Clinton, IL.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Obermeyer; sisters, Esto Belle Burger and Maxine Harris.

 

Jim was the owner of the Obermeyer Building at the corner of West Washington St. and North Grant St. that housed the Wash House and Milk House. He also owned and operated Obermeyer Transfer Company, being the third generation of movers.
