Donald Wayne McKimmy, Sr., 80, of Clinton, IL passed away at 1:10 AM, September 3, 2021 at Manor Court, Clinton, IL.

 

Graveside services will be 2:30 PM, Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Memorial Park Cemetery, Clinton, IL with Pastor Abraham Mogerman officiating.  There will be no visitation.  Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL is in charge of arrangements.

 

Memorials may be directed to The DeWitt County Friendship Center.

 

Donald was born April 12, 1941 in Clinton, IL the son of Arthur Dean and Dorothy Faye (Lawler) McKimmy.

 

Survivors include his children: Donna Louise Turcer, Steinhatchee, FL; Lana Sue Crady, Steinhatchee, FL; and Donald Wayne McKimmy, Jr. (Kimerly Pierce), Bell, FL; brother, Alan (Linda) McKimmy, Bloomington, IL; three grandchildren:  John Michael Wayne Turcer; Bobbie Nicole Brady; and Misty Dawn Hand; three great-grandchildren:  Jema Rose Brady; John Michael Wayne Turcer, II; and Jasmine Turcer; and along with many nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Larry Dean McKimmy, and one sister, Carol Sue McKimmy

 

Don was a truck driver, welder, and held various other jobs before he had a stroke and was forced to retire.  He enjoyed playing the bass and played in various bands in the area.  Don loved fishing, hunting, and the Cubs, but most of all he loved Jesus and his family.
