Janet Ann Ruyle, 80 of Kenney, IL, passed away 1:30 PM August 16, 2021 at her family home in Kenney, IL.

 

Services will be 2 PM, Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Mike Cahill officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Kenney, IL. Visitation will be 5 – 7 PM, Friday, August 20, 2021 at the funeral home.

 

Memorials may be directed to the Janet Ruyle Memorial Fund.

 

Janet was born September 12, 1940 in Sandoval, IL the daughter of Monroe and Wilma (Foltz) Pfeffer. She married Joseph Wardell Ruyle October 21, 1983 in Heyworth, IL. He passed away March 7, 2012.

 

Survivors include her children, Denise (Rick) Johnson, Kenney, IL; Bryan (Robyn) Schanafelt, Scottsdale, AZ; Sheila (Steve) Taylor, Mississippi; stepchildren, Jeffrey W. Ruyle, Clinton, IL; Kimberly Jo (Brian) Vinson, Camdenton, MO; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; sister, Marilyn Hintz, Sandoval, IL; and special brother, Roger Jones, Naples, FL.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents.

 

Janet and her husband Joe owned and operated The Depot in Kenney for over 20 years.  She enjoyed crocheting, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
