James Mikel “Mike” Decker, 54 of Clinton, Illinois passed away 2 A.M. May 23, 2021 at his family residence, Clinton, Il.

 

A Celebration of Mike’s Life will be 5 – 8 PM, Thursday, May 27, 2021 at The Abagail, 1520 E. South St., Clinton, IL.  Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL assisted the family with cremation rites.

 

Memorials may be directed to The James Mikel Decker Memorial Fund or The American Diabetes Association.

 

Mike was born May 18, 1967 in Clinton, IL the son of Ray and Imogene (Moore) Decker. He married Melinda Hanafin on June 6, 1998 in Clinton, IL.

 

Survivors include his wife, Melinda Decker, Clinton, Il.; sons, Braden Anthony Decker and Trenton Mikel Decker both at home; siblings, Gary (Terrie) Decker, Hallsville, IL and Nancy Decker, Kentucky; nephews, Josh (Brandy Wilhite) Decker and Billy Irvin, Clinton, IL; and great-niece, Drew Decker, Clinton, IL; mother-in-law, Carol Hanafin, Heyworth, IL; brothers-in-law, Bryan (Stacey) Hanafin, LeRoy, IL and Darin (Mandy) Hanafin, Argenta, IL; nephews:  Wyatt, Wylie, Walker, Brody, Jahden, Brayd, and Blake; nieces, Willa and Whitley.

 

Mike was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Mark Anthony Decker.

 

Mike “played in the dirt” for The Clinton Landfill since 1993.  He also loved to play in the dirt with his boys riding dirt bikes and ATV’s.  Mike always had a great time with his friends and co-workers and taking trail riding trips with the “Midland Mulisha”.
