Gary E. Braun 74 of Clinton, Illinois passed away 9:29 PM April 29, 2021 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington, Il.

 

No services are planned at this time. The family entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with cremation rites.

 

Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association.

 

Gary was born December 14, 1946 in Milwaukee, WI the son of Eugene and Mildred (Bloedorn) Braun. He married Katherine R. Kelley, February 1, 1969 in Milwaukee, WI.

 

Survivors include his wife, Katherine R. Braun, Clinton, IL; daughters, Ann (Jason) Neavor, East Peoria, IL and Kari (Tyrel) Klein, Clinton, IL; 6 grandchildren, Erin, Emma, Gavin, Grace, Sadie, and Sophie; sister, Sharon James, Hartford, WI.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Christine Ziegler.

 

Gary worked for Outboard Marine Corp. in Waukegan, IL for 35 years. After retirement, he worked security for the Antioch High School, Antioch, IL. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving from 1966 until 1968. He enjoyed golf and fishing.
