Delmar E. Bateson, 88 of Clinton, IL, passed away 5:25 AM January 16, 2021 at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital, Lincoln, IL.

 

No services are planned at this time. The family entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with cremation rites.

Delmar was born July 21, 1932 in Clinton, IL the son of John and Mary (Hitchel) Bateson.

 

Survivors include his children, Michael Carter, Clinton, IL; Billy Riggs, Clinton, IL; and Corina Shaw, Clinton, IL; grandchildren, Karamay Carter, Clinton, IL; Richard Carter, Paxton; along with 3 more grandchildren.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, and longtime companion, Donna Carter.

 

Delmar worked for Wilson-Reeves for 40 years. He loved going to the races, fried chicken but especially spending time with his grandchildren.
