Gerald I. “Jerry” Defebaugh 74 of Clinton, IL passed away 12:55 PM November 22, 2020 at his family residence, Clinton, IL.

A celebration of Jerry’s life will be at a later date.  The family entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with cremation rites.

Jerry was born June 16, 1946 in Clinton, IL the son of Harold and Florence (Burdine) Defebaugh. He married Rhonda S. Chase November 26, 1971 in Clinton, IL.

Survivors include his wife, Rhonda S. Defebaugh, Clinton, IL, children, D.J. (Patty) Robinson, Heyworth, IL, Tim (Jennifer) Defebaugh, Mackinaw, IL, and Tracy Defebaugh, Clinton, IL; 3 grandchildren, Bryson Bishop, Cadence Bishop, and Melody Howell; siblings, Bob Defebaugh, Clinton, IL, Jim (Betty) Defebaugh, Clinton, IL, Leona (Harold) Jones, Clinton, IL, and Avis Egleston, Seattle, WA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Richard Defebaugh, and sister, Edith Hamilton.

Jerry was a veteran of the U.S. Airforce and retired after 30 years from the Clinton Post Office. He was a member of the Clinton VFW and traveled all over with his buddy, Jim Cundiff. He loved to garden and spend time with his grandchildren. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.
