Marty J. Underwood 58 of Pilot Point, TX formerly of Clinton, IL passed away 2:09 PM, August 24, 2020 at Medical City Denton, Denton, TX.

Visitation will be 5 – 7 PM Thursday, September 10, 2020 at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL. Cremation rites will be accorded.

Memorials may be directed to the Garrett Tomias Underwood Fund c/o Mindy Underwood.

Marty was born February 14, 1962 in Clinton, IL the son of Joseph W. and Martha M. (Neal) Underwood.

Survivors include his father, Joseph, Underwood, Clinton, IL, grandson, Garrett Tomias Underwood, siblings, Mindy Underwood, Normal, IL; Marlin Underwood, Clinton, IL; Martina (Raymond) Toohill, Wapella, IL; stepsister, Pam Allsopp, Normal, IL, nieces, Haley Toohill, Ashley Toohill, Maranda Underwood, nephew, Daniel Taylor, II; great niece, Brylee Summers.  

He was preceded in death by mother, Martha M. Underwood and niece, Elizabeth Williams.

Marty worked for Garland Power Plant in Denton, TX for 28 years. He loved taking family vacations to the Ozarks, along with selling items on eBay.
