Martha Louise Johnson Singleton 77 of Clinton, Il. passed away 10:37 A.M. December 12, 2019 at Manor Court, Clinton, Il.

 

Services will be 11 AM, Monday, December 16, 2019 at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, Il. with Rev.. Michael Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery, Clinton, Il. Visitation will be 10 – 11 AM, Monday at the funeral home.

 

Memorials may be directed to the First Church of the Nazarene, Clinton, Il. or to the National Heart and Lung Association.

 

Martha was born January 11, 1942 in Malden, Missouri the daughter of James Homer and Lemma Albertina (Harris) Johnson.

 

Survivors include her sons, Bobby Gene Singleton, Jr., Clinton, IL; Marcus Homer (Connie) Singleton, Lane, IL; grandson, Marcus Keith (Paige) Singleton, Malden, Missouri; siblings, Charles (Wanda) Johnson, Malden, Missouri; Marilee (Wayne) Jakobitz, Clinton, Il.;

 

Martha was preceded in death by her Parents and brother, Jerry Homer Johnson.

 

Martha worked at several jobs in Bloomington, Decatur and in Clinton. She retired from Illinois Power in 2000. She had many friends and co-workers there.
