Larry “Smiling Larr” Leon Fisher, 54 of Clinton, IL passed away 5:50 AM September 14, 2019 at his family home in Clinton, IL.

 

Visitation will be from 4 – 8 PM Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL.  Services will be 11 AM Friday, September 20, 2019 at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Dean Alger and Pastor Darrell Howard officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery, Clinton, IL.

 

Larry was born January 31, 1965 in Paducah, KY, the son of Lowell and Donna (Wigley) Fisher. He married Jeanne Bazzell April 22, 1987 Gilbertsville, KY.

 

Survivors include his wife, Jeanne Fisher, Clinton, IL, parents, Lowell and Donna Fisher, Argenta, IL, children, Jennie (Jason) Byrd, Minier, IL; Casey Fisher, Bloomington, IL; and Mackenzie (Shay) Starkey, Bloomington, IL, grandchildren, Jaxson Byrd and Lucy Fisher, siblings, Jason (Lonni) Fisher, Decatur, IL; and Melissa Baldassari, Clinton, IL, and father-in-law, Gene Bazzell, Arrowsmith, IL.   He dearly loved all his nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Don and Virginia Wigely, Albert and Ruby Johns, mother-in-law, Phyllis Bazzell, and grandmother-in-law, Leona Younger.

 

Larry loved working for Exelon in Clinton on the Finn Team and in the Mechanical Maintenance Department. He also enjoyed Hunting, Classic cars and Gun and knife Smithing. He raced stock cars and wrestled in High School and Achieved Eagle Scout Rank at the age of 14, always excelling in everything he did.
