Curtis Wilson 78 of Maroa, IL passed away September 13, 2019 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Decatur, IL.

 

Services will be 10 AM Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at the First Christian Church, Decatur, IL with Pastor Wayne Kent officiating. Burial will follow at Maroa Cemetery, Maroa, IL. Visitation will be 5 – 7 PM Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at the church. Calvert Funeral Home, Maroa, IL is in charge of arrangements.

 

Memorials may be directed to First Christian Church, Decatur, IL.

 

Curtis was born February 22, 1941 in Forsyth, Il. the son of Roy A. and Mildred I. (Fox) Wilson. He married Juanita M. Williams June 25, 1961 in Forsyth, Il.

 

Survivors include his wife, Juanita M. Wilson, Maroa, IL, children, Tamara R. Stockon, Stonington, IL; Jeffrey A. (Julie) Wilson, Lake Forest, IL; Melissa R. (Mark) Kopec, Lutherville, MD, 4 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, brother, LeRoy (Ruth Ann) Wilson, Clinton, IL.

 

Curtis was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Betty Rodgers.

 

Curtis considered it an honor to be a Sunday School Teacher for 25 years. He retired from Caterpillar Inc. in Decatur after 32 years of service. Curtis loved fishing, golfing and people. He was a member of First Christian church in Decatur.
