G.A. Nobles 79 of Clinton, Illinois passed away 11:54 A.M. September 11, 2019 at Advocate BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal, Il.

 

Services will be 2 P.M. Saturday September 14, 2019 at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Cody Monkman officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery, Clinton, IL.Visitation will be from 1 – 2 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.

 

Memorials may be directed to the G.A. Nobles Memorial Fund.

 

G.A. was born March 6, 1940 in Hartley, Texas, the son of Gordon and Merle (Taylor)  Nobles. He married Carolyn J. Moody September 4, 1981 in Clinton, IL.

 

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn J. Nobles, Clinton, Il; children Blake (Tina) Nobles, Sheridan, Arkansas, Karla (Eddie) Anderson, Sheridan, Arkansas, Carol (Jeremy) Arteman, Wapella, IL, Diane Morris, Clinton, IL, Thomas Harris, Clinton, IL, and Paul Harris, Clinton, IL; 16 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren; 1 brother Doug (Susan) Nobles, Newcastle, Oklahoma.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents.

 

G.A. worked out of Plumbers and Pipefitters Union Local #619, Vicksburg, Mississippi. He loved watching NASCAR.
