Donald G. Riddle 84 of Normal, IL passed away 4:28 PM July 12, 2019 at his family residence, Normal, IL.

 

Services will be 11 AM, Friday, July 19, 2019 at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Pastor Mark Warren officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Clinton, IL. Visitation will be 10 – 11 AM, Friday at the funeral home.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.

 

Don was born February 13, 1935 in Wapella, IL the son of Wilbur Scott and Goldie (Malcom) Riddle. He married Coryla L. Morris August 21, 1955 in Wapella, IL. She passed away November 20, 2013.

 

Survivors include his children: Jeffrey Riddle, Heyworth, IL; Eric Riddle, Downs, IL; and Julie (Geoff Raube) Freed, Normal, IL, 6 grandchildren: Deandra (Ryan) Myers, Heyworth, IL; Craig (Sarah) Riddle, Heyworth, IL; Benjamin (Alexis) Freed, Towanda, IL; Dylan Freed, Chicago, IL; Sara Freed, Chicago, IL; and Skip Riddle, Wapella, IL;  great-grandchildren: Ava, Alia, and Dexton Riddle, Heyworth, IL; Victoria, Kameron, and Tyler Myers, Heyworth, IL; and special friend, Nancy Osborne, Normal, IL.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents.

 

Don was a lifelong farmer in the Lexington, IL area and after retiring, they moved to Normal, IL.  He was a Lexington Twp. Fire Trustee.  Don was a member of Eastview Christian Church.  Don enjoyed his family and was a loving father and grandfather.
