Lucia Pauline Estes, 92, of LeRoy, passed away at 8:40 p.m. July 2, 2019, at the Farmer City Rehabilitation & Health Care.

 

Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Farmer City, with Father James Henning, OFM, Conv., officiating. Inurnment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, LeRoy. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church. Memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Farmer City, or Ruel Neal American Legion Post 79, LeRoy. Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, LeRoy, is assisting the family with arrangements.

 

Lucia was born Aug. 28, 1926, in Boston, Mass., a daughter of Ferdinando and Erminia Orrei Donato. She married Clifford Eugene “Snorky” Estes Sr. on April 22, 1950, at Fitzwilliam, N.H. He passed away March 27, 2019.

 

She is survived by her children, Clifford Eugene (Kimberly) Estes Jr., Irmo, S.C.; Janet (Scott) Whitehouse, Farmer City; Robert Estes, Sebastian, Fla.; Vivian (Robert) Van Deventer, Jacksonville, Fla.; Michael Estes, LeRoy; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Ferdinando Donato, Boston, Mass.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Norman Estes; parents; four sisters; and one brother.
