Marjorie E. Burris, 83, of Clinton, IL passed away at 12:00 PM, June 17, 2019 at Lakeland Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Effingham, IL.

 

Services will be 12:00 Noon, Friday, June 21, 2019 at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Ernie Harvey, Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow at Long Point Cemetery, Wapella, IL.  Visitation will be 11 AM – 12:00 Noon, Friday at the funeral home.

 

Memorials may be directed to the Diabetes Association.

 

Marjorie was born July 29, 1935 in Wapella, IL, the daughter of Charles Herbert and Margaret E. (Summers) Karr.

 

Survivors include her children:  Wanda Preston, Strasburg, IL and Patty (Larry) Thacker, Pontiac, IL; 5 grandchildren:  Terry Brady, Linwood, KS; Wendy (Justin) Deters, Strasburg, IL; Jacob Baumgartner, Clinton, IL; Mollie (Jake) Brockett, Pontiac, IL; and Hannah Durham; 6 great-grandchildren:  Chloe, Sophie and Sawyer Deters; Kylie, Addison, and Tucker Brockett; siblings:  Ronald (Linda) Karr, Saunemin, IL; Donald (Kathy) Karr, Pontiac, IL; and Carolyn (Delmar) Martin, Saybrook, IL.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Dorita Durham.

 

Marjorie retired from Revere Copper & Brass in 1997 and was also a homemaker.
