John W. Turner, 72, of Deland, passed away June 8, 2019 at Carle Hospital, Urbana.

 

John was born April 14, 1947 in Bement, IL, the son of Alva and Cora Turner.    

 

John is survived by his dear friend Janice Campbell and her family; brother, Dale Turner of Monticello; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Lauretta, and son Seth.   

 

John was a machinist.

 

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 13, 2019 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home, Monticello. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held in Monticello Township Cemetery.

 

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or to Janice Campbell to help with expenses.
