Ronald D. Gresham

Ronald D. Gresham, 80, of Heyworth, formerly of Minier, passed away Sunday (May 26, 2019) at his home.

 

Ron was born March 7, 1939, in Peoria, to M. Clair and Mildred Ransom Gresham. He married Carmen M. Lewis. She preceded him in death. Also, preceding Ron in death were his parents; one sister, Donna; three brothers, Burnell “Bud,” Charles and Gilbert.

 

Ron is survived by three daughters, Lisa (Rodney) Shafer, Bethlehem, Ga.; Lori (Robert) Grass, Minier; and Leigh (Kevin) Crowley, Sibley; four sons, Gilbert D. Gresham, Heyworth; Michael (Julie) Johnson, Bloomington; Mark (Clara) Gresham, Heyworth; and Gregory (Teri) Johnson, McLean; 20 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Wanda Kiesling, Heyworth; and Leta Marlett, Heyworth; one brother, Melvin (Marylin) Gresham, West Virginia.

 

Ron had worked for Stahly Truck City, later in construction, and finally for Mehl Farms.

 

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Armington Christian Church. Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church. The Rev. Melvin Gresham will officiate. Haensel Funeral Home, Minier, is assisting the family with arrangements. Burial will be at Mountjoy Cemetery, Logan County.
